2016 - 2017 Schedule

Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 3PM - The American Chamber Ensemble will present its Annual Music Party concert and fundraiser on the 10th floor of Hofstra University’s Joan & Donald E Axinn Library, located at 123 Hofstra Blvd in Hempstead, New York.
Guest performers Stanley Drucker, clarinet and Karen Lehman DiMartino, soprano will join ACE Director, pianist Marilyn Lehman, along with founding directors, pianist Blanche Abram and clarinetist Naomi Drucker, as well as violinist Eriko Sato and soprano Donna Balson, in a program of informal music making that will preview the upcoming 51st season.

Sunday, October 16 at 5:00 PM- South Country Concert Series presents members of ACE at Christ Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 64 South Country Road, Bellport, NY.

Repertoire will be music by Schumann, Weber and Enesco. Performers will be Laurinel Owen, cello, Tia Roper, flute and pianist Marilyn Lehman.

Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 3 PM - The Music Department of Hofstra University presents ACE at the University's Monroe Lecture Center Theater on California Avenue, Hempstead

 

Selections for the special collaboration with Long Island Composers Alliance will include music by Long Island composers Herbert Deutsch, Jonathan Russ, Larry Dresner and Dana Richardson, as well as music by Meyer Kupferman and others.
 
Alan Bull, who will paint on canvas to a special World Premiere performed by Herbert Deutsch. ACE performers will be pianists Blanche Abram and Marilyn Lehman, clarinetists Stanley and Naomi Drucker, violinist Eriko Sato and cellist Chris Finckel.

  Saturday, April 2, 2017 at 3 PM - The Music Department of Hofstra University presents ACE at the University's Monroe Lecture Center Theater on California Avenue, Hempstead.
 
Repertoire for this Celebrating Scott Joplin (1868-1917) and the influence of Ragtime on Classical Music program will be music by American composers Scott Joplin, William Bolcom, Elie Seigmeister, Morton Gould, Paul Schoenfield, and Russia’s Valery Trofimenko.

Performers will be core members of the American Chamber Ensemble with guest artists, clarinetist Stanley Drucker, bassist Peter Coco and soprano Donna Balson, as well as ACE student award winner Connor Martin, marimba.
